Submissions should describe original work that is not under consideration or published by another conference or journal before the ISICS symposium in March 2022.

Original papers must be high-quality work in the fields of the ISICS symposium, presenting research results, comprehensive case studies, presentation of project results in their conclusive phase. Each paper should be mainly focused on research, applications or systems.

Posters should report work in progress, preliminary results of ongoing research, or projects in early stages of development. Accepted posters will be exhibited in a poster session during the symposium. Posters will be reviewed on the basis of an extended abstract.

Formatting Guidelines

Original papers must be in English (10 to 15 pages). Submissions exceeding this length will be rejected without review. The file format for submission is Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). Other formats will not be accepted. A complete, anonymized paper should be submitted (do not include author details, university or country information in the manuscript).

Posters must be in English (4 to 6 pages): An extended abstract in PDF format up to 6 pages long may be submitted under this format. A complete, anonymized paper should be submitted. Abstracts from accepted posters will be pubished in the adjunct proceedings of ISICS 2022. At least one of the authors must register and attend the conference to present the poster. Poster session guidelines will be announced.

Camera Ready: All accepted original papers should upload its final version using the Springer conference paper template including a source archive (LaTeX or Word), and the CCIS copyright form. Please fill in the copyright form with the ISICS 2022 editors as: Victor Castañeda-Zeman, Anabel Martin-Gonzalez, Carlos Brito-Loeza, and Asad Safi.

Review Process

The review process will be double-blind peer review. Please, anonymize your submission. Each paper will be reviewed by at least three members of the Scientific Program Committee, and the acceptance decision will be based on paper originality, novelty, significance of the contribution to the field, practical or theoretical impact, and presentation.

Publications

Accepted original papers will appear in the symposium proceedings published by Springer, in the Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) series. Accepted poster papers will be published in the adjunct symposium proceedings.

   

Authors of selected outstanding papers will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers for consideration of publication in an international journal.
